I always make a point to ask my students about food. It’s something they are pretty passionate about and it teaches me where the go-to restaurants are in our city. One week I was told about BHC Chicken (Better, Healtheir Choice) and I was told with emphasis to try their brinkle chicken. I was convinced by a class of middle school girls that the brinkle chicken was amazing, so much so that one student chose Brinkle as her English name for that week.
Anyways, on this particular lazy day we decided to order in and went with an order of boneless brinkle chicken and a half order of plain boneless chicken.
I will say that I was kind of expecting this chicken to be really good since we paid ₩27,000 (about $27 US) in total for the chicken (everything else came as an extra). As far as fried chicken in Korea goes, that is one the pricier side so I expected tastier results.
And the results…. I thought the brinkle chicken was delicious!! It comes covered in the dried cheese/herb powder but unlike previous experiences with friend chicken covered in powder this powder was a light “brinkle” of powder that was evenly dispersed. I thought the yogurt dipping sauce would be really strange on the chicken and it wasn’t bad. It made the chicken taste really creamy but I preferred it without the yogurt sauce. All in all I was really pleased with BHC Chicken…it was a little more on pricey side but I think the quality and taste was better than average!
