Christmas Eve in Seoul

This was the first time Josh and I have ever celebrated Christmas away from our families, let alone in another country. As you can imagine, it was hard to keep with tradition, but we did what we could and who knows maybe we made some new traditions of our own.

First, off we arrived late in Seoul on Christmas Eve and decided upon Korean BBQ as our Christmas Eve Dinner. The restaurant we chose is one that is about 5 minutes walking distance from Eunji’s apartment in Hong Dae. We ordered the daegi calbi (pork rib meat) and it was amazing. There wasn’t that much fat on the meat and since it wasn’t red meat it was easier for me to digest. This restaurant is one of our favorites in Seoul and a top place for BBQ for us as it fulfills 3 important aspects of any good restaurant: close and easy to get to, decent prices for good food and good service.

Our delicious Christmas Eve Dinner....meat on the grill, soup, rice and all you can eat kimchi!
