Halloween in Korea Part 2…Party!

Halloween in Korea…

Well Halloween is definitely not a highly celebrated holiday in Korea. In areas with a higher influx of foreigners (Seoul primarily) you can stumble across Halloween parties here and there but generally it in not widely celebrated in Korea and there are NO trick-or-treaters. This year for Halloween we went to our favorite place for pizza in Busan, The Booth. So, regardless of Halloween being a little more tame than usual we at least got to fill our faces with delicious pizza. It’s funny to see that many young Koreans enjoy attending Halloween parties but don’t really dress up.

We dressed up as three blind mice for Halloween with a friend being our third mouse. It was a really easy and super cute costume but we did spend most of the night trying to explain to Koreans what three blind mice are and try to convince them that the rhyme isn’t that barbaric (you know since the butcher’s wife cuts off their tails and it’s supposed to be a nursery rhyme).

Three Blind Mice, you can't see in the pictures but we also had canes. I think we looked like we were in the mafia and not blind.

We ended the night by reverse trick-or-treating our favorite bars and give goodie bags to our favorite bar tenders…
